Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jenessa has studied dancing, acting and singing since the age of 5. She acquired certification with the Royal Academy of Dance where she was certified to teach ballet at the age of 15. Some of her training includes the Broadway Dance Center Professional Semester and training at Rockette Intensives. Jenessa Logel has performed at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, with Broadway Dance Center, in pieces choreographed by Lacey Schwimmer. Jenessa graduated from AMDA NYC Musical Theatre Conservatory and later graduated with her BFA in Musical Theatre at AMDA LA. Jenessa is currently signed with Bloc Talent Agency for Musical Theatre.
One of her credits include being a lead singer and dancer in four different original cast production shows with Norwegian Cruise Lines. Some of her regional theatre work includes “Spamalot” (Midtown Arts Center),“A Beef and Boards Christmas,” (Beef and Boards Theater), and “Fiends,” directed by Broadway director Lisa Shriver. In addition, Jenessa sang in the opening number for Theatre Forward's Gala. She was one of 8 AMDA Alumni chosen to perform in honor of alumnus, Jesse Tyler Ferguson. In NYC Jenessa performed with Buglisi Dance Theatre in the “Table of Silence 9/ 11 Tribute” at Lincoln Center. She has also performed in; “From Street to Stage” at the Intrepid Space Museum, staged by Joshua Bergasse from the Broadway musical “On The Town.” She sang in the closing number at the “Harold Prince Gala Benefit,” honoring director/ producer Harold Prince. As well as, singing in the ensemble for the Broadway Festival at Symphony Space called “Wall to Wall Leonard Bernstein.” Jenessa was a backup dancer for Zelma Davis’ “Everybody Dance Now” performance at the “Orphaned Starfish Gala.” Additionally, Jenessa is a supporting actor in the feature film “A Matter of Chance” available on Amazon.
When Jenessa isn’t performing herself, she teaches voice and prepares singers for college auditions, professional auditions and the current expectations of todays industry in NYC and LA, via Lessonface.com. Jenessa trains singers in all singing styles including Broadway styles, pop, legit, country, rock and golden age styles. Currently she has over 151 reviews Lessonface and has taught 1300 + classes online at Lessonface. She is a Featured Teacher on Lessonface since April 2020 where she also teaches private and group Musical Theatre classes online. Jenessa has a passion for helping singers, dancers and actors on their journeys as artists.
